As I pulled out our grill, dusted off the summer yard games, and got ready for the unofficial start of summer this weekend - I would have expected our movie night to be centered on the latest installment from Marvel or Star Wars. But not this year, I'm not ashamed at all to admit that over the long weekend we binged watched the entire season for Cobra Kai.
Cobra Kai, the Karate Kid "sequel" series on YouTube Red was phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. It hit all the right beats, was funny, action-y enough, and fit perfectly the type of thing I always assumed happened after the credits rolled more than 30 years ago.
